FAQ

Q: Are you recruiting?

A: Yes we are! Recruitment criteria:

Age: 18+ required, 21+ preferred

Most of our members are old enough to buy themselves a pint. More importantly, we are a group of mature people looking to enjoy each other's company. TM will not be recruiting new members under the age of 18 at this time unless there is an exceptional applicant.

Shared Goals: enjoyable progression

As laid-back adults with busy schedules during the day, we look forward to both pleasant and efficient groups. Learn more about our goals as a guild at the About Us page. Please note that raiding is not required here as we also welcome casual/social members.

Respect: for the guild, for the team, for the WoW community

We pride ourselves on our reputation and atmosphere. Respect includes many things such as treating others kindly, keeping your raiding character an asset to the team, communicating attendance issues ahead of time, understanding boundaries, etc. A good fit for us would be someone who is always polite and friendly.

Q: What is the team looking for?

A. TM is always looking to improve our roster. We are a tight-knit community with a small yet very active roster; to support this we require mains to join before admitting alts.

Talented players of ALL specs/roles are always welcome to apply. However, for core spots we are currently most interested in the following:

Please visit our Recruitment Status thread on the Blizzard forums to check what our current needs are for classes and specs. This post will be the most up to date listing of our raid spots.

Q: What is the schedule?

A: Guild raid times are from 10:00pm to 12:30am EST (9p - 11:30a CST / 8p - 10:30p MST / 7p - 9:30p PST) on Wednesdays and Mondays. (Note: The guild also generally raids on release day of new content.) M+ groups are started on all days usually in the evenings.

Q: I'm interested. How do I join?

A: First, get to know us by checking out our Guild Charter. If applying for a raiding spot, the "Raiding Section" will tell you everything you need to know. Next, help us get to know you by filling out our quick app (click here to apply). Our adult professional leadership would greatly appreciate fully answered questions.

TM believes in quality over quantity. We may take some time to review your application, but only because we are that serious about providing a healthy, stable guild. It does make a difference being honest though so talk to us if there's something you're worried about.

Q. What can I expect after I apply?

A: Once you've completed and submitted your application, you should receive a copy at the e-mail you provided. Generally we'll have an officer reach out to recruits within 48 hours though it may take up to 1 week to review. If you don't hear back within 48 hours, contact an officer to make sure we received your app.

There may be follow-up questions from the officers. Or, you may have some yourself. Make sure to check back to see any comments. Unresponsive applicants or those who have not been in contact for 1 week will be automatically declined.

Q: I've been accepted! When can I join?

A: After talking with an officer and being invited to join, you can expect a /ginvite immediately. We are on Horde side of Undermine server. If you aren't on Undermine or one of our connected realms (Anvilmar, Alterac Mountains, Balnazzar, Gorgonnash, The Forgotten Coast, Warsong, Xavius) then you'll need to transfer first before we can invite you to the guild.

Q: My friend or family member wants to join too. Can they get an invite?

A. Yes! Friends / family are welcomed here provided there is a connection to an active member. If they are only interested in a social / casual invite, they may join at any time. Be aware that this is not a guaranteed raid spot for them, but friends/family members may apply later if they are looking to join the raid team too. Make sure to have them mention you are together when they reach out to us. They can also request an invite using the in-game Guild Finder tool without having to wait for an officer to be online at the same time.

Q: How long before I get promoted?

A: Your trial for raider rank begins when you join the guild and ends after at least 2 weeks of on-time raid attendance. (Casual members are exempt from the attendance requirement.) As a new member, you will also be evaluated based on how well you fit with our culture; we want people with friendly personalities! Raiders especially need to have a positive attitude -- we're going to be spending a lot of time together and have no room for Negative Nancies.

Q: What do the ranks mean?

A: Initiates < Members < Raiders < Officers. If you'd like to learn more about how to get promoted, see the Ranks section under About Us.

More questions? Feel free to contact us in-game via /who and ask for an officer. If you request an invite via the guild finder tool, you can leave a message there as well; Please note that there is a character limit so we suggest including your battle tag or discord name at the beginning of the message to avoid getting cut off. Battletag info available upon request. For quick responses outside of WoW, you can e-mail us directly at metalocaguild@gmail.com or message our recruitment officer on discord at Crit#2960. You may also use the Contact Us form at the bottom of this page to leave your contact info privately.
